The Lean Management Process encourages the practice of continuous improvement and is based on the fundamental idea of respect for people.

The five principles are considered a recipe for improving workplace efficiency.

Trust the process” is one of the most important Lean mantras.

A process is considered good if:

  • it is standard (repeatable: the same situations drive to the same actions)
  • it is documented (teachable: everybody knows how things work)
  • it is fair (balanced: there is enough people/time/equipment to do things and solve problems)
  • it is visible (measurable: problems are easy to find)
  • it has a clear owner (actionable: problems are solved)

As a wise man once stated; “if you doubt the value of a tried and tested process, consider what life would be like with the alternative!”

Imagine working in an environment where:

  • it is random
  • it is not documented or recorded
  • it is unfair
  • it is invisible
  • there is no clear ownership

Keeping your businesses processes Lean, has great merit, and is further endorsement of adopting and implementing systems that can move you forward with confidence.
