What if that dream is built on a flawed premise? After all (sorry kids), unicorns aren’t real.

The simple gesture exploded when an official attacked Switzer on the course. The incident was broadcasted worldwide and put a shocking face on the hostility to women's full participation in athletics. Her 38 subsequent marathons (she's still running them) include a win in New York in 1974. Watch her moving interview here. (You’ve got to love the boyfriend’s ‘hip & shoulder’ support of Kathrine during the race).

Driving Employee Growth

Today’s employees and job candidates are looking for opportunities to grow their skill sets and advance their careers. A clear development path can make or break their desire to stay with an organisation, even if the rest of their experience has been positive. In fact, employees who feel they lack access to clear development opportunities are 41% more likely to leave their current company, according to research from Culture Amp’s people science team. Read their insights here; Planning for Employee Development.
